FUEL TRANSFER AIR CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
10.83.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.83.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks, dents, nicks, and damaged threads
(para 10.1).
b.. Check valve for corrosion (para 1.49).
c.. Check connector or receptacle for cracks,
corrosion, and broken, bent, or damaged pins
(TM 55-1500-323-24).
10.83.6. Installation
a. Install valve (1).
(1) Install two screws (12) and washers (13).
(2) Lubricate thread fittings of valve (1). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(3) Install screw (8) and washer (9) if ground
strap was removed.
(4) Install screw (10) and washer (11).
(5) Install tube nuts (4), (5), (6), and (7).
(6) Attach connector P940 (2) to receptacle
(L3)J1 (3) on valve (1).
b. Inspect (QA).
c. Perform fuel quantity indication/transfer
maintenance
operational
check
(TM 1-1520-238-T).
d. Install ammunition storage magazine
(TM 9-1090-208-23).
