10.85.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.85.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks, dents, nicks, or damaged threads
(para 10.1).
10.85.6. Installation
CAUTION
Arrow on check valve must point toward
refueling line fitting boss.
a. Install valve (1).
(1) Lubricate new packing (4). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (4) on valve (1).
(3) Lubricate threads on both ends of valve (1).
Use petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(4) Install valve (1) in refueling line fitting (3).
(5) Hold valve (1). Install nut (2).
b. Inspect (QA).
c. Perform auxiliary fuel system maintenance
operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
d. Install ammunition storage magazine
(TM 9-1090-208-23).
