REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
d. From transmission deck (1), remove access
cover (2).
(1) Remove eight screws (3) and washers (4).
(2) Remove cover (2).
e. Remove nitrogen inert breakaway valve (5).
(1) Remove hose nut (6) from valve (5).
(2) Remove two bolts (7) and washers (8).
(3) Remove valve (5) from mount pad (9).
(4) Remove and discard packing (10).
10.121.4. Cleaning
a. Clean inert breakaway valve, attaching hard-
ware, and mounting surface of mounting pad
(para 1.47).
b. Clean sealing compound residue from access
panel and mounting area on transmission
deck (para 1.47).
