10.135. FUEL QUANTITY INDICATOR TEST (TF 579) SET INSTALLATION/REMOVAL – continued
CAUTION
Do not make connections to adapter con-
nectors J1 and P1 at this time.
(4) Attach ground lead (21) to test adapter (22)
and helicopter ground terminal (3).
(5) On test adapter (22), set adapter FUNCTION
switch (23) to TEST.
(6) Set TANK SELECT switch (24) to TANK 1.
(7) On indicator test set (6), place FUNCTION
SELECTOR switch (9) to TANK UNIT TEST
UNSH.
(8) Set CAP-RES CHECK switch (8) to CAP.
(9) Set RANGE SELECTOR switch (10) to low-
est multiplier setting that allows an on-scale
reading.
(10) Record reading from CAPACITANCE INDI-
CATOR (11). This is TANK 1 adapter tank
loop capacitance.
(11) Inspect (TI).
(12) On test adapter (22), set TANK SELECT
switch (24) to TANK 2.
(13) On indicator test set (6), turn RANGE SE-
LECTOR switch (10) to lowest multiplier set-
ting that allows an on-scale reading.
(14) Record reading from CAPACITANCE INDI-
CATOR (11). This is TANK 2 adapter tank
loop capacitance.
(15) Inspect (QA).
