AUXILIARY FUEL TANK KIT (FOUR TANK) INSTALLATION – continued
NOTE
Retain bolts, washers, and nuts removed
in step y. for reinstallation when kit is re-
moved.
y. Remove two bolts (81) and bolt (82) from rack
(83).
(1) Remove three nuts (84) and washers (85)
from bolts (81) and (83).
(2) Remove two bolts (81) and bolt (82) with
washers (85) from rack (83).
NOTE
Bracket installation is typical on both in-
board and outboard pylons.
z. Install bracket (86) on rack (83).
(1) Position bracket (86) on rack (83). Aline
mounting holes.
(2) Install two bolts (87) through washers (88),
bracket (86), and rack (83).
(3) Install two washers (88) and nuts (89) on
bolts (87).
(4) Install bolt (90) through washer (88), bracket
(86), and rack (83).
(5) Install washer (88) and nut (91) on bolt (90).
aa. Perform electrical bond check on uppermost
bolt (87) (TM 55-1500-323-24).
(1) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(2) Seal head of uppermost bolt (87). Use
sealing compound (item 174, App F).
