11.153. PILOT DIRECTIONAL SHEAR PIN ACTIVATED DECOUPLER (SPAD) INSTALLATION – continued
e. Install feel spring cartridge (25) on SPAD (1).
Torque nut (26) 30 to 40 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Aline cartridge (25) with SPAD (1).
(2) Install bushing (27) in SPAD (1).
(3) Install bolt (28) through washer (29), bushing
(27), SPAD (1), and cartridge (25).
(4) Check fit of self-retaining bolt (28) (para
11.1).
(5) Install nut (26). Torque nut (26) to 30 INCH-
POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
(6) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 40 INCH-POUNDS.
(7) Install new cotter pin (30).
f. Install position transducer (31) on SPAD (1).
Torque nut (32) 14 to 18 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Aline transducer (31) with SPAD (1).
(2) Install bushing (33) in SPAD (1).
(3) Install bolt (34) through washer (35), bushing
(33), SPAD (1), and transducer (31).
(4) Check fit of self-retaining bolt (34) (para
11.1).
(5) Install nut (32). Torque nut (32) to 14 INCH-
POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
(6) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 18 INCH-POUNDS.
(7) Install new cotter pin (36).
g. Attach connector (A334)P1 (37) to receptacle
J269 (38).
