11.152. PILOT DIRECTIONAL SHEAR PIN ACTIVATED DECOUPLER (SPAD) REMOVAL – continued
i. Remove directional push-pull rod (28) from
SPAD (4).
(1) Remove and discard cotter pin (29).
(2) Remove nut (30).
(3) Remove bolt (31), washer (32), and bushing
(33).
j. Remove SPAD (4) from mounting bracket (34).
(1) Remove and discard cotter pin (35).
(2) Remove nut (36) and retainer (37).
(3) Remove bolt (38), washer (39), and washer
(40) from shaft (41).
(4) Remove shaft (41) from SPAD (4).
(5) Remove SPAD (4) from bracket (34).
(6) Remove bearing (42) and bushing (43) from
SPAD (4).
k. Place directional flight controls in neutral
position.
