11.185. DIRECTIONAL MAGNETIC BRAKE SUPPORT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY (AVIM) – continued
11.185.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks. None allowed.
b. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age (para 11.5).
c. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
d. Check all installed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.5).
e. Check all removed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.4).
11.185.6. Assembly
a. Install shaft (9) through bearing (11) and
spacer (10) into support (2).
b. Install bellcrank (1) on support (2). Torque bolt
(3) and nut (5) to 40 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Position bellcrank (1) on support (2).
(2) Install washer (8) and bolt (7) through bell-
crank (1).
(3) Install washer (6) and nut (5) on bolt (7).
(4) Install washer (4) and bolt (3).
(5) Torque bolt (3) to 40 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
(6) Torque nut (5) to 40 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
(7) Lockwire bolt (3) to bolt (7). Use wire
(item 226, App F).
c. Inspect (QA).
