WARNING
Turn off power before detaching or
attaching wires and connectors. High
current 28 VDC or 115 VAC is present.
Failure to do so could result in death or
serious injury.
1. Detach J997 from (A639)P1.
Close STAB AUTO AC circuit breaker
(A76)CB2.
Check for 26 VAC between:
J9971 and J9973,
J9972 and J9973.
Is voltage present?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Go to step 5.
2. Detach J997 from (A639)P1.
Check for 26 VAC between P9974 and
P9975.
Is voltage present?
YES
Go to step 7.
NO
Go to step 3.
3. Open STAB MAN DC (A76)CB6, STAB AUTO
DC (A76)CB3, STAB AUTO AC (A76)CB2, and
ENG WARN (A76)CB52 circuit breakers.
Detach J997 from (A639)P1.
Check for open between:
P987L and J9974,
P987M and J9975.
Does open exist?
YES
Repair open wire.
Go to paragraph 1188.
NO
Go to step 4.
4. Detach P987 from (A637)J3.
Check for short between:
J9974 and ground,
J9975 and ground.
Does short exist?
YES
Repair shorted wire between:
J9974 and P987L,
J9975 and P987M.
Go to paragraph 1188.
NO
Replace STAB CONT UNIT 1
(A637) (TM 1-1520-238-23).
5. Open STAB AUTO AC (A76)CB2 circuit breaker.
Detach J997 from (A639)P1.
Check for open between:
P987H and J9971,
P987P and J9972.
Does open exist?
YES
Repair open wire.
Go to paragraph 1188.
NO
Go to step 6.
