CAUTION
The DTV zoom FOV shall not be acti-
vated for more than 2 minutes of contin-
uous operation to prevent excessive ras-
ter retention. Permanent damage may
occur if it is engaged for more than 5
minutes continuously.

2. FLIR.
a. Sensor select switch FLIR.
b. Field-of-view select switch N.
c. FLIR Adjust level fully counterclockwise.
d. FLIR Adjust gain mid-range.
e. Laser trigger Press and hold.
f. Observe laser spot, and optimize FLIR. If la-
ser spot is not visible, perform CUE Update
Procedure, paragraph 4.31.7 a.
g. BRSIT ENABLE switch UP. Observe
tracking gates capture laser spot. Continue
to fire the laser until tracking gates disap-
pear. If spot cannot be captured by tracking
gates, perform manual boresight adjust-
ment, paragraph 4.31.7 d.
h. BRSIT ENABLE switch CENTER.

cident with DTV reticle, go to step g, below.
d. BRSIT ENABLE switch DOWN.
e. DVO BRSIT Adjust DVO crosshairs into
coincidence with DTV reticle.
f. BRSIT ENABLE switch CENTER.
g. BRSIT TADS OFF.
h. ACQ SEL switch FXD.
i. SLAVE switch Press, TADS returns to the
fixed forward position.
c. TADS Outfront Boresight.
WARNING
TADS Outfront Boresight validation and
adjustment (if necessary) shall be per-
formed prior to using the TADS FLIR im-
agery for laser or weapons operations,
after performing a cue update, a TADS
component change or if the helicopter
experiences an abnormal electrical shut-
down.
1. Position helicopter on the ground over identified
location for this procedure.
2. If on an approved laser firing range, fire laser to
obtain range. Otherwise, enter manually the
range from helicopter to the outfront boresight
target.
NOTE
If the target is between 0.5 km and 1.5 km,
the range entered on the DEK must be with-
in 10 meters. If the target is between 1.5 km
and 5 km, the range entered on the DEK
must be within 50 meters. If the target is
greater than 5 km, the range entered on the
DEK must be within 1 km.
3. Observe the outfront boresight target in NFOV
FLIR, adjust gain and level for optimum auto-
tracker image. Engage IAT.
