5. PLT WAS – RKT, verify co–operative mode
6. CPG WAS – Deselect RKT
7. PLT – Confirm pilot control of rockets
8. PLT WAS – Deselect RKT
9. CPG SIGHT SEL – HMD or NVS
10. CPG WAS – RKT (On the cyclic), confirm CPG
control of rockets
11. CPG WAS – Deselect RKT
d. AERIAL WEAPON SYSTEM INITIALIZATION
PROCEDURES
1. CPG WAS – GUN (On the cyclic), confirm CPG
control of the gun
2. PLT WAS – GUN, confirm pilot control of the gun
3. CPG SIGHT SEL – TADS
4. CPG WAS – GUN (On the ORT), confirm CPG
control of the gun
5. PLT WAS – Deselect GUN
6. CPG WAS – Deselect GUN
e. MISSILE INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE
1. CPG check BIT complete and SAFE message in
AND. If missile inventory indicates SAFE then
momentarily place the ARM/SAFE switch to
ARM then back to SAFE (announce to pilot).
Verify missile inventory and status in the AND.
2. CPG MSL MODE Switch – NORM, select UPR
or LWR, ensure laser codes download
3. CPG WAS – MSL
4. CPG LOAL Switch – OFF, check LOBL
5. CPG LOAL Switch – Check DIR, LO and HI (as
desired)
6. PLT WAS – MSL, confirm pilot control of mis-
siles
7. PLT WAS – Deselect MSL, confirm CPG control
of missiles
8. CPG WAS – Deselect MSL
