FORWARD FUEL CELL REMOVAL – continued
ae. Remove cover (40) from pad (41) inside fuel
cell (8).
(1) Remove six bolts (42) and washers (43).
af. Remove and discard packing (75) from pad
(41).
ag. Apply a thin coat of oil to fuel cell inner liner if
a cell that has contained fuel is to be empty
more than 10 days. Use lubricating oil (item 117,
App F).
10.28.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.28.5. Inspection
a. Check inside of fuel cell for cracks, corrosion,
and visible damage (para 10.1).
b. Check fuel cell for tears, chafing, damaged
helicoils, and cracked mounting pads (para
10.1).
