FORWARD FUEL CELL INSTALLATION – continued
10.29.3. Installation
a. Check fuel cell cavity (1) for foreign objects.
b. Position fuel cell (2) on blanket (3). Use blanket
from fuel cell removal and installation kit.
c. Remove protective covers (4) from fuel cell
(2).
d. Inspect fuel cell (2).
NOTE
Steps e. thru k. install seven covers and
one plug. To install covers, use bolts and
washers that were used to attach parts
removed from fuel cell.
e. Install cover plate (5) on pad (6) outside fuel
cell.
(1) Install two bolts (7) through washers (8) and
plate (5) into pad (6).
f. Install cover plate (9) on vent tube adapter pad
(10) inside fuel cell (2).
(1) Install six bolts (11) through washers (12) and
plate (9) into pad (10).
g. Install plate (13) on pad (14) inside fuel cell (2).
(1) Install six bolts (15) through washers (16) and
plate (13) into pad (14).
