AFT FUEL CELL FILLER NECK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
b. Remove neck (5) from port (2).
(1) Remove 12 bolts (6) and washers (7).
c. Remove access cover (8) from transmission
deck (9).
(1) Remove fillet seal from around cover (8).
(2) Remove nine screws (10) and packings with
retainers (11). Discard packings with retain-
ers (11).
(3) Remove grommet and wire bundle (12) from
cover (8).
(4) Remove cover (8).
d. Remove neck (5) from aft fuel cell mounting
pad (13).
(1) Remove six bolts (14), washers (15), and
ground strap (16).
e. Remove neck (5) through aft fuel access panel
opening (17).
(1) Remove and discard packing (18).
10.34.4. Cleaning
a. Clean sealing compound residue from neck
flange, flange mating surface, transmission
access panel and mounting area on deck
(para 1.47).
b. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.34.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for nicks,
gouges, damaged helicoil inserts, and dam-
aged or missing nut plates (para 10.1).
