AFT FUEL CELL FUEL QUANTITY TRANSMITTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
10.39.3. Removal
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
a. Detach Hi Z lead (1) and lead (2) from fuel
quantity transmitter (3).
(1) Remove screw (4), black lead (2), and clamp
(5) from transmitter (3).
(2) Remove screw (6) and white lead (1) from
transmitter (3).
(3) Loosen screw (7). Remove white/black lead
(8) from upper retainer (9).
b. Detach Lo Z lead (10) from transmitter (3).
(1) Remove screw (11) and red lead (10) from Lo
Z terminal (12).
(2) Loosen screw (13). Remove red lead (10)
from retainer (14).
c. Detach lead (15) and screw (16) from low level
fuel sensor (17).
d. Detach lead GND (18) and screw (19) from
sensor (17).
