AFT FUEL CELL INSTALLATION – continued
WARNING
High pressure air exists. Air pressure
from the pneumatic vacuum cleaner
shall be vented and the regulator gage
indicate 0 psi before disconnecting
regulator. Failure to do so could cause
death or serious injury. Observe all
safety precautions.
(10) Turn knob (40) counterclockwise until 0 psi is
indicated on gage (41).
(11) Remove pressure filler (39) from plug (32).
t. Install fuel cell (2) on pad (16) from ammuni-
tion bay. Torque bolts (42) to 60 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Install two bolts (42) and washers (43).
(2) Torque bolts (42) to 60 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
(3) Perform electrical bond check on bolts (42)
(TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(4) Seal heads of bolts (42). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
u. Install fuel cell (2) on drain valve mounting
pad (44). Torque bolts (45) to 60 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Install four bolts (45) and washers (46).
(2) Torque bolts (45) to 60 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
