AFT FUEL CELL INSTALLATION – continued
(3) Perform electrical bond check on bolts (45)
(TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(4) Seal heads of three bolts (45). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
v. Install fuel cell (2) on mounting pad (6) from
aft electronics bay. Torque bolts (47) to 60
INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Install two bolts (47) and washers (48).
(2) Torque bolts (47) to 60 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
(3) Perform electrical bond check on bolts (47)
(TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(4) Seal heads of bolts (47). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
w. Install fuel cell (2) on mounting pad (49) from
transmission deck (50). Torque bolts (53) to 60
INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Position flat washers (51) between helicopter
structure (52) and fuel cell (2).
(2) Install two bolts (53) through two rectangular
washers (54) and two flat washers (51) into
pad (49).
(3) Torque bolts (53) to 60 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
(4) Perform electrical bond check on bolts (53)
(TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(5) Seal heads of bolts (53). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
