NITROGEN INERTING UNIT (NIU) COOLING AIR EXHAUST HOSE
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
10.130.6. Installation
a. Install hose (1).
(1) Slide clamp (9) over end of hose (1).
(2) Place end of hose (1) over right port (10) of
NIU (2).
(3) Tighten screw of clamp (9) to secure hose (1)
to right port (10) of NIU (2).
(4) Slide clamp (7) over free end of hose (1) into
position at bracket (8).
(5) Install screw (5) through washer (6) and
clamp (7) into bracket (8).
(6) Slide clamp (3) over free end of hose (1).
(7) Place end of hose (1) over right vent (4).
(8) Slide clamp (3) into position to secure hose
(1) to vent (4). Tighten screw of clamp (3).
b. Inspect (QA).
c. Perform fuel system priming operation (para
1.23).
d. Perform nitrogen inerting system mainte-
nance operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
e. Install ammunition storage magazine
(TM 9-1090-208-23).
f. Install access panel R200 (para 2.2).
