NITROGEN INERTING UNIT (NIU) COOLING AIR EXHAUST HOSE
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
d. Remove cooling air exhaust hose (1) from ni-
trogen inerting unit (NIU) (2).
(1) Loosen screw of clamp (3). Remove hose (1)
from right vent (4).
(2) Remove screw (5), washer (6), and clamp (7)
from NIU clamp support bracket (8).
(3) Loosen screw of clamp (9) and remove hose
(1) from right port (10) of NIU (2).
10.130.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe inner and outer hose-mount area of
hose with a clean rag.
b. Wipe inner and outer hose-mount area of right
port of NIU and right vent with a clean rag.
10.130.5. Inspection
a. Check cooling air exhaust hose for chafing,
tears, or breaks (para 10.1).
b. Check right port of NIU and right vent for
nicks, dents, or cracks (para 10.1).
