e. Adjust friction range on pilot collective stick
(6) (4.00 to 6.00 POUNDS).
(1) Attach scale at pilot grip (27).
(2) Check for friction pull of 4.0 to 6.0 POUNDS.
(a) If friction is within the required limits, go to
step e.(4).
(b) If pull is less than 4.0 POUNDS, remove
nut (24) and add washers (23) until de-
sired pull is obtained.
(c) If pull is greater than 6.0 POUNDS, re-
move nut (24) and washers (23) until de-
sired pull is obtained.
(3) Install nut (24).
(4) Aline cotter pin hole and install new cotter pin
(28).
f. Remove wire loop from grip (27).
g. Inspect (QA).
h. Remove primary external power hydraulic
(para 1.72).
i. Perform flight control system maintenance
operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
