LATERAL FEEL SPRING CARTRIDGE INSTALLATION – continued
11.58.3. Installation
WARNING
To prevent FOD in fuel cell area, place
rag under work area to catch any hard-
ware that may be dropped during
installation of feel spring cartridge.
a. Install feel spring cartridge (1) on magnetic
brake arm (2). Torque nut (3) 30 to 40 INCH-
POUNDS.
(1) Aline cartridge (1) with arm (2).
(2) Install bolt (4) through washers (5) (as re-
quired), arm (2), cartridge (1), and bushing
(6).
(3) Check fit of self-retaining bolt (4) (para 11.1).
(4) Install nut (3). Torque nut (3) to 30 INCH-
POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
(5) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 40 INCH-POUNDS.
(6) Install new cotter pin (7).
CAUTION
To prevent operational failure of feel
spring cartridge, do not stretch rod end to
aline rod end with bellcrank.
