PILOT CYCLIC STICK HOUSING LATERAL SHEAR PIN REPLACEMENT – continued
11.56.6. Installation
a. Install new shear pin (6) in arm (2) and arm (5).
(1) Apply petrolatum to the tapered end of shear
pin (6). Use petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(2) Aline arm (2) with arm (5).
(3) Ensure that switch detent (7) and switch posi-
tion lever (8) are engaged.
(4) Install shear pin (6) through arm (2) and arm
(5).
NOTE
Install retainer finger tight.
b. Install retainer (1) on arm (2).
(1) Lockwire retainer (1) to arm (2). Use wire
(item 220, App F).
c. Inspect (QA).
d. Perform flight control system maintenance
operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
e. Perform DASE maintenance operational
check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
f. Install pilot cyclic stick cover (para 11.46).
