b. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
c. Check all installed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.5).
d. Check all removed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.4).
e. Check retainer for damaged threads. None al-
lowed.
11.146.6. Installation
CAUTION
To prevent damage to flight control sys-
tem components, do not use force to
aline bellcrank with bracket or to aline
pushpull rod with bellcrank.
a. Lubricate tapered end of shear pin (12). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
b. Install shear pin (12) in arm (2) and SPAD (11).
(1) Aline arm (2) with SPAD (11).
(2) Ensure that switch detent (13) and switch
position lever (14) are engaged.
(3) Install shear pin (12) through arm (2) in SPAD
(11).
NOTE
Install retainer finger tight.
c. Install retainer (8) on arm (2).
(1) Lockwire retainer (8) to arm (2). Use wire
(item 220, App F).
