11.171.4. Cleaning
a. Clean removed and attaching parts (para
1.47).
11.171.5. Inspection
a. Check bracket and deck for cracks. None al-
lowed.
b. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age (para 11.5).
c. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
d. Check all installed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.5).
e. Check all removed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.4).
11.171.6. Installation
a. Install bracket (1) on deck (2).
(1) Aline bracket (1) on deck (2).
(2) Install bolts (3), (4), and two bolts (5) through
bracket (1) and deck (2).
(3) With one person holding bolts (3), (4), and
(5), install four washers (7) and nuts (6).
(4) Apply sealing compound to faying surface of
bracket (16). Use sealing compound
(item 174, App F).
