11.172. PILOT LONGITUDINAL SHEAR PIN ACTIVATED DECOUPLER (SPAD)
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
11.172.3. Removal
a. Enter pilot station (para 1.56). Observe all
safety precautions.
b. Slowly position stick (1) to aline longitudinal
rig pin hole (2) in cyclic stick base (3).
c. Install -9 rig pin (4) into rig pin hole (2) in
cyclic stick base (3).
d. Install cyclic stick warning cover (5).
e. Install -9 rig pin (6) in midstroke rig pin hole (7)
in longitudinal FS165 bellcrank (8).
f. Remove external primary hydraulic power
(para 1.72).
g. Remove access door (9) from pilot floor (10).
(1) Remove 16 screws (11) and washers (12)
from floor (10).
(2) Remove door (9).
h. Remove access door (13) from floor (10).
(1) Remove 28 screws (14) and washers (15).
(2) Remove door (13).
