11.174. PILOT LONGITUDINAL SHEAR PIN ACTIVATED DECOUPLER (SPAD) ASSEMBLY
DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY (AVIM) – continued
c. Install shaft (15) on lever (8).
(1) Install shaft (15) through lever (8), cam (17),
and lever (18).
NOTE
Ensure shaft arm, cam valley, and lever
tip are facing same direction.
(2) Aline cam (17) and lever (18) with holes in shaft
(15).
(3) Install two new rivets (16) on cam (17) and
lever (18) (TM 1-1500-204-23).
CAUTION
Ensure that pin is no longer than 0.453
INCH. A longer pin may interfere with
SPAD assembly function.
d. Install guide (10) on lever (8).
(1) Install spring (14) and guide (10) on lever (8).
(2) Install pin (12) through lever (8), guide (10),
and washer (13).
(3) Install new cotter pin (11).
e. Install lever (7) on lever (8).
(1) Position lever (7) on lever (8).
(2) Install bushing (9) through levers (7) and (8).
