v. Remove main rotor blades (para 5.3).
w. Store main rotor blades.
(1) Clean blades (TM 55-1500-344-23).
(2) Apply corrosion preventive compound to mating surfaces of blades. Use corrosion preventive compound
(item 62, App F).
(3) Wrap and secure areas of blade that contact box supports. Use barrier material (item 32, App F) and tape
(item 207, App F).
(4) Place blades in shipping containers and store in hangar or building.
NOTE
Aircraft in storage will be periodically inspected in accordance with applicable local directives and
TM 1-1500-204-23.
x. Perform helicopter mooring procedures (para 1.76).
