HELICOPTER WEIGHING (AIRCRAFT ON JACKS) – continued
NOTE
Helicopter jack adapter brackets are lo-
cated just forward of the main landing gear
struts.
h. Install two jack adapters (15) on helicopter
adapter brackets (16).
(1) Position adapters (15) on brackets (16). Use
jack adapters.
(2) Insert pins (17) in holes of adapters (15) and
through brackets (16).
i. Position two tail stands (18), with extension
legs removed, under adapters (15). Use tail
stands.
WARNING
A minimum of one inch clearance be-
tween load cells and the jack adapters
is required to ensure aircraft will be
supported on main landing gear when
the tail is being raised to weighing
position.
j. Install load cells (19) on tail stands (18).
(1) Position load cells (19) on tail stands (18).
Use weighing kit.
(2) Zero load cells (19) and check for adequate
jack adapter clearance.
