HELICOPTER WEIGHING (AIRCRAFT ON JACKS) continued
G.1.4. Weighing
a. Remove chocks (13) from wheels (14).
WARNING
To prevent helicopter from slipping off
jacks, avoid side loads when perform-
ing leveling procedure. Tail of helicop-
ter must be lifted while helicopter is
supported on main landing gear with
brakes unlocked.
NOTE
Position one person to observe helicopter
attitude and to direct three jack operators
during helicopter jacking.
b. Slowly raise jack (21) until line (5) is alined with
the 3.5 degree mark on target (2).
c. Raise two stands (18) until firm contact is
made with adapters (15).
NOTE
Plumb bob line must remain alined with
the 3.5 degree mark on target at all times.
d. Slowly, carefully, and simultaneously raise
two stands (18) and jack (21) until wheels (14)
clear the ground and wheel (20) clears block
(25).
e. Laterally level helicopter by raising or lower-
ing either left or right stand (18) as required
until line (5) clears edge of target (2) by
approximately 1/32 INCH.
f. Allow helicopter to stabilize on jacks.
