HELICOPTER WEIGHING (AIRCRAFT ON JACKS) continued
NOTE
Prior to lowering helicopter, position one
person to observe helicopter attitude
and to direct jack operators during low-
ering of helicopter.
Tail wheel jack point is shielded by a
wire strike protector plate. In order to
jack tail wheel, swivel wheel to allow
wire strike plate to clear jack point.
k. Lower helicopter and remove stands (18) and
jacks (21) and (22).
(1) Position jack (22) under wheel (20) jack point.
Use jack.
(2) Slowly, carefully, and simultaneously lower two
stands (18) and jack (21) until wheels (14) are
on the ground and wheel (20) is resting on
block (25).
(3) Remove two stands (18).
(4) Install chocks (13) on wheels (14).
(5) Jack tail wheel (20) until jack (21) and load
cell (23) are clear of tail boom jack pad (24).
(6) Remove jack (21) and load cell (23).
(7) Remove block (25).
(8) Lower jack (22) until tail wheel (20) is on the
ground.
(9) Remove jack (22).
l. Remove load cells (19) from tail stands (18).
m. Remove adapters (15) from brackets (16).
(1) Remove pins (17) from adapters (15) and
brackets (16).
(2) Remove adapters (15).
