COAXIAL MASS TERMINATION CONNECTOR (MTC) REPAIR – continued
9.138.3. Removal
a. Detach connector (1) from receptacle (2).
(1) Loosen two captive jackscrews (3).
b. Remove two cable clamps (4) from connector
(1).
(1) Remove two screws (5).
(2) Remove clamps (4) from connector (1).
c. Remove coaxial contact (6) from connector
(1).
(1) Use removal end of tool (7) and slide cable
(8) into slot. Use Raychem repair kit.
(2) Slide tool (7) into rear of connector (1) until
tool (7) seats on contact (6).
(3) Pull tool (7) and contact (6) free of connector
(1).
9.138.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe contacts and connector with a clean rag.
