FORWARD FUEL CELL FILLER NECK REMOVAL – continued
(3) Install four bolts (62) and washers (63) under
brackets (64).
r. Exhaust air from fuel cell (8).
(1) Install vacuum cleaner adapter (65) on quick-
disconnect plug (66). Use vacuum cleaner.
(2) Connect vacuum cleaner hose (67) to adapt-
er (65).
(3) Turn shutoff valve knob (68) counterclock-
wise to open valve (69).
(4) Turn on vacuum cleaner (70) to exhaust air
from fuel cell (8).
(5) Turn knob (68) clockwise to close valve (69).
Shut off vacuum cleaner (70).
(6) Disconnect hose (66) from adapter (65).
(7) Remove adapter (65) from plug (66).
CAUTION
Do not pull fuel cell by its fittings. Do not
force removal or pry on fuel cell with
sharp objects.
s. To prevent damage to fuel cell, cover sharp
edges of helicopter structure with tape. Use
tape (item 201, App F).
t. Collapse cell (8) and remove filler neck (6).
u. Remove and discard packing (72) from fuel
cell groove (73).
