FORWARD FUEL CELL FILLER NECK INSTALLATION – continued
WARNING
High pressure air exists. Air pressure
from the pneumatic vacuum cleaner
shall be vented and the regulator gage
indicate 0 psi before disconnecting
regulator. Failure to do so could cause
death or serious injury. Observe all
safety precautions.
(11) Turn knob (12) on pressure filler (7) counter-
clockwise until 0 psi is indicated on gage (13).
(12) Remove pressure filler (7) from plug (8).
c. From transmission deck (15), install ground
strap (16) to filler neck (1). Torque bolt (17) to 60
INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Remove bolt (17) from hole (18) in filler neck
(1).
(2) Install bolt (17) through washer (19) and
ground strap (16) in hole (18).
(3) Torque bolt (17) to 60 INCH-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench.
(4) Perform electrical bonding check on bolt (17)
(TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(5) Seal head of bolt (17). Use sealing compound
(item 175, App F).
