10.124. NITROGEN INERTING UNIT (NIU) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
(6) Slide clamp (18) over free end of hose (17).
(7) Place end of hose (17) over vent (19).
(8) Slide clamp (18) into position to secure hose
(17) to vent (19). Tighten clamp (18).
e. Install hose (4).
(1) Slide clamp (16) over end of hose (4).
(2) Place end of hose (4) over left port of NIU (3).
(3) Tighten screw of clamp (16) to secure hose
(4) to port of NIU (3).
(4) Slide support clamp (14) over free end of
hose (4) into position at bracket (15).
NOTE
To prevent screw from chaffing NIU unit,
screw should be installed flush with
washer and no screw protrusion past nut-
plate attached to bracket.
(5) Install screw (12) through washer (13) and
clamp (14) into bracket (15). Tighten screw
(12).
(6) Wrap hose (4) 12 INCHES where clamp (14)
and tube (4) are attached. Use tape
(item 208, App F).
(7) Slide clamp (10) over free end of hose (4) into
position at bracket (11).
(8) Install screw (7) through washer (9), clamp
(10), and bracket (11). Install nut (8).
