c. Check connector and NIU connector for dam-
aged pins, pin holes, and threads. None al-
lowed.
d. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
10.124.6. Installation
a. Install NIU (3) in ammunition bay. Torque bolts
(33) and (36) to 48 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Aline left end mounting holes of NIU (3) with
holes of bracket (35). Install two bolts (33)
and washers (34). Torque bolts (33) to 48
INCH-POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
(2) Perform electrical bond check on two bolts
(33) (TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
(3) Seal heads of bolts (33). Use sealing
compound (item 175, App F).
(4) Aline right end mounting holes of NIU (3) with
holes of bracket (38). Install two bolts (36)
and washers (37). Torque two bolts (36) to 48
INCH-POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
b. Install hose (30) on fitting (31). Torque nut (32)
to 120 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Hold fitting (31). Torque nut (32) to 120 INCH-
POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
