AFT LONGITUDINAL BELLCRANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION continued
11.12.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age and wear (para 11.5).
b. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
c. Check all installed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.5).
d. Check all removed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.4).
11.12.6. Installation
a. Install bellcrank (9) on bellcrank (2).
(1) Install spacer (23) and bushing (22) in bell-
crank (2).
(2) Aline bellcrank (9) with bellcrank (2).
CAUTION
Threads of bolt and nut shall be clean
and compound free. Contaminated
threads can cause improper torque,
which may cause damage to flight control
system.
(3) Apply a light coat of corrosion preventive
compound to shank of bolts (15) and (11).
Use corrosion preventive compound
(item 62A, App F).
(4) Install bolt (15) through washer (21) (if re-
quired), bushing (22), spacer (23), bellcrank
(9), and bellcrank (2).
(5) Install spacer (20) and bushing (19) in bell-
crank (2).
(6) Aline bellcrank (9) with bellcrank (2).
(7) Install bolt (11) through washer (18) (if re-
quired), bushing (19), spacer (20), bellcrank
(9), and bellcrank (2).
