d. Install nylon washer (8) on bellcrank (2) (if
removed).
(1) Lightly abrade mating surfaces until the old
adhesive and surface of bellcrank (2) are free
of contaminants (glossy). Use cloth (item 47,
App F).
(2) Wipe bellcrank (2) free of contaminants. Use
methyl ethyl ketone (item 124, App F) and
cloth (item 51, App F).
(3) Wipe bellcrank (2) dry. Use cloth (item 51,
App F).
(4) Allow bellcrank (2) to air dry 30 to 120 MIN-
UTES.
NOTE
Adhesive must be applied within 2
HOURS after solvent cleaning. If adhe-
sive is not applied within 2 HOURS after
solvent cleaning, perform steps d.(2) thru
d.(4).
(5) Mix adhesive per manufacturers specifica-
tions. Use adhesive (item 3, App F) and
scale.
(6) Apply a thin, even coat of adhesive (item 3,
App F) to mating surfaces.
(7) Place nylon washer (8) in position on bell-
crank (2).
(a) Ensure hole alinement.
(8) Maintain contact pressure on nylon washer
(8) throughout cure time.
(9) Wipe excess adhesive squeezed out from as-
sembly. Use cloth (item 51, App F).
(10) Allow adhesive to cure 24 HOURS at room
temperature or force cure 1 HOUR at 200 F
(93 C).
