MAIN ROTOR PITCH LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
NOTE
This task is typical for all four pitch links.
Identify and tag pitch link with pitch hous-
ing for installation in same position.
11.14.3. Removal
a. Remove main rotor pitch link (1) from pitch
change horn (2).
(1) Remove sealant from attaching hardware
(para 1.47).
(2) Remove and discard cotter pin (3).
(3) Hold bolt (4). Remove nut (5). Use socket and
open end wrench.
(4) Remove bolt (4), washer(s) (6) (if installed),
and bushing (7).
b. Remove link (1) from swashplate (8).
(1) Remove sealant from attaching hardware
(para 1.47).
(2) Remove and discard cotter pin (9).
(3) Hold bolt (10). Remove nut (11). Use socket
and open end wrench.
(4) Remove bolt (10), limiter (12), washer(s) (13)
(if installed), and bushing (14).
11.14.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
11.14.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age (para 11.5).
b. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
c. Check all installed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.5).
d. Check all removed bushing(s) and/or bear-
ing(s) for wear (para 11.4).
