c. Remove switch mounting plate (8) from col-
lective grip (6).
(1) Remove three screws (9).
(2) Raise plate (8).
d. Remove sealant from switch (10) terminals
(para 1.47).
WARNING
Soldering iron can cause severe
burns to personnel and start fires.
Observe all safety precautions when
using soldering iron. If injury occurs,
seek medical aid.
e. Detach wires (11) from switch (10).
f. Debond and remove switch (10) from plate (8).
(1) Identify and desolder wires (11). Use
soldering iron (TM 55-1500-323-24).

a. Clean removed and attaching parts (para
1.47).
11.29.5. Inspection
a. Check for cracked and broken wires. None al-
lowed.
b. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks. None allowed.
c. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age (para 11.5).
d. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
e. Check switch cover for damage. Repair cover
(para 11.29A).
