c. Remove rotor housing (5) from tube (2).
(1) Remove three screws (6) and cover (7).
(2) Remove spur gear (8), washer (9), and fric-
tion shaft (10).
(3) Remove retaining ring (11), three washers
(12), and bevel gear (13).
(4) Remove and discard three rivets (14) from
housing (5) (TM 1-1500-204-23).
(5) Slide housing (5) off tube (2).
11.35.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
11.35.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for exces-
sive wear, nicks, or distortions (para 11.5).
b. Check tube assembly nutplates for stripped
threads or loose rivets. None allowed.
c. Check housing threaded inserts for stripped
or damaged threads. None allowed.
d. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks. None allowed.
e. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age (para 11.5).
f. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
11.35.6. Repair
a. Replace tube assembly nutplates as neces-
sary (TM 1-1500-204-23).
b. Replace housing threaded inserts as neces-
sary (TM 1-1500-204-23).
