PILOT CYCLIC STICK HOUSING LATERAL SHEAR PIN REPLACEMENT continued
11.56.3. Removal
NOTE
If a shear pin(s) cannot be removed by
conventional means, after repeated at-
tempts from any of the SPAD assemblies
(CPG or pilot), deliberately shearing the
pin is permitted. Ensure the ends of the
pins are removed
a. Remove retainer (1) from arm (2).
(1) Remove lockwire.
(2) Remove retainer (1).
NOTE
Remove shear pin in pieces if sheared.
b. Remove shear pin half (3) from arm (2).
c. Remove shear pin half (4) from arm (5).
(1) Aline arm (2) with arm (5).
(2) Remove shear pin half (4) through arm (2).
11.56.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
11.56.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks. None allowed.
b. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age (para 11.5).
c. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
