d. Install new packing (21) on arm (16).
(1) Lubricate new packing (21). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (21) on arm (16).
e. Install detent (18) on arm (16).
(1) Position detent (18) on arm (16).
NOTE
Detent will be secured, adjusted, and
lockwired when SPAD switch is installed.
(2) Install two screws (19) and washers (20).
f. Install arm (16) on arm (1).
(1) Apply lubricant to faying surfaces of arm (1)
and arm (16) that contact shaft (11). Use
damping fluid (item 69, App F).
(2) Apply adhesive to shaft (11) key seat. Use
adhesive (item 3A, App F).
(3) Install shaft (11) through arm (1) and arm
(16).
(4) Apply adhesive to key (17). Coat all surfaces
except end to be inserted first. Use adhesive
(item 3A, App F).
(5) Aline arm (16) and arm (1).
(6) Install key (17). Wipe excess adhesive from
key (17).
