SHEAR PIN ACTIVATED DECOUPLER (SPAD) SWITCH REPLACEMENT (AVIM) continued
c. Check for continuity between contacts of
switch (11). Torque nut (3) to 8 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) With cam lever (6) resting against stop (15),
ensure continuity exists between: P1-1 and
P1-2; P1-1 and P1-4. Use multimeter.
(2) With lever (6) resting against stop (16) ensure
continuity exists between: P1-1 and P1-2;
P1-1 and P1-4. Use multimeter.
(3) With rollers (11) centered in cam actuator
valley (10), install shear pin (13) in SPAD (2).
(a) Install shear pin (13) in SPAD (2).
(b) Install retainer (14) in SPAD (2).
(c) Lockwire retainer (14). Use wire
(item 220, App F).
(4) If detent (7) is removed, install on SPAD (2).
(a) Apply adhesive to faying surface of det-
ent (7). Use adhesive (item 19, App F).
(b) Install detent (7) on SPAD (2).
(c) Install two screws (8) and washers (9) in
detent (7) and SPAD (2).
(d) Tighten two screws (8) only enough to
maintain contact with SPAD (2) without
binding detent (7).
(5) Aline lever (6) and detent (7) to provide a
0.000 to 0.005 INCH gap between lever (6)
and detent (7). Use thickness gage.
(6) Tighten two screws (8) and lockwire. Use wire
(item 223, App F).
