CPG CYCLIC STICK AND LATERAL LINK INSTALLATION – continued
g. Install aft stop bolt (24) on housing (8).
(1) Hold cyclic stick (2) in full forward position.
(2) Install stop bolt (24) with jam nut (25) on
housing (8).
(3) Adjust length of stop bolt (24) to 0.50 INCH.
(4) Hold bolt (24). Tighten jam nut (25).
(5) Lockwire stop bolt (24), jam nut (25) and jam
nut (26). Use wire (item 226, App F).
CAUTION
To prevent damage to flight control
system, install bolts with heads in di-
rection as shown.
To prevent damage to flight control
system components, do not use force
to aline bellcrank with bracket or to
aline push-pull rod with bellcrank.
h. Install lateral push-pull rod (26) on arm (27).
Torque nut (28) to 30 to 40 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Aline rod (26) with arm (27).
(2) Install bushing (29) in arm (27).
(3) Install bolt (30) through washer (31), arm
(27), rod (26), and bushing (29).
(4) Check fit of self-retaining bolt (30) (para
11.1).
(5) Install nut (28). Torque nut (28) to 30 INCH-
POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
(6) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 40 INCH-POUNDS.
(7) Install new cotter pin (32).
