CPG CYCLIC STICK HOUSING LONGITUDINAL SHEAR PIN REPLACEMENT continued
11.82.3. Removal
NOTE
If a shear pin(s) cannot be removed by
conventional means, after repeated at-
tempts from any of the SPAD assemblies
(CPG or pilot), deliberately shearing the
pin is permitted. Ensure the ends of the
pins are removed.
a. Remove shear pin retainer (1) from arm (2).
(1) Remove lockwire.
(2) Unscrew retainer (1).
NOTE
Shear pin must be removed in pieces if
sheared.
b. Remove shear pin half (3) from arm (2).
c. Remove shear pin half (4) from housing (5).
(1) Move arm (2) to allow access to shear pin (4).
(2) Remove shear pin half (4) from housing (5).
11.82.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
11.82.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for dam-
age (para 11.5).
