CPG CYCLIC STICK HOUSING LATERAL SHEAR PIN REPLACEMENT – continued
11.83.6. Installation
a. Install new shear pin (17) in arm (2) and lever
(16).
(1) Apply petrolatum to tapered end of shear pin
(17) before installation. Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Aline arm (2) with lever (16).
(3) Ensure that switch detent (17) and switch
position lever (18) are engaged.
(4) Install shear pin (17) through arm (2) and
lever (16).
NOTE
Install retainer finger tight.
b. Install retainer (14) on arm (2).
(1) Lockwire retainer (14) to arm (2). Use wire
(item 220, App F).
c. Install lateral rod (7) on arm (2). Torque nut (9)
30 to 40 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Aline rod (7) with arm (2).
(2) Install bushing (12) in arm (2).
(3) Install bolt (10) through washer (11), bushing
(12), arm (2), and rod (7).
(4) Check fit of self-retaining bolt (10) (para
11.1).
(5) Install nut (9). Torque nut (9) to 30 INCH-
POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
(6) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 40 INCH-POUNDS.
(7) Install new cotter pin (8).
