11.84.3. Disassembly
a. Remove main rotor retainer (1) from cyclic
support (2).
(1) Remove lockwire from retainer (1).
(2) Remove retainer (1). Use crowfoot.
b. Remove bearing retainer (3) from cyclic hous-
ing assembly (4).
(1) Remove lockwire from retainer (3).
(2) Remove retainer (3). Use spanner
attachment set.
c. Remove input arm (5) from housing assembly
(4).
(1) Remove two nuts (6), washers (7), and bolts
(8).
(2) Remove arm (5).
WARNING
Do not place heater near flammable
material or allow heater to contact
skin: severe burns can result. Wear
protective equipment. If injury occurs,
seek medical aid.
d. Remove housing (4) from support (2).
(1) Apply heat on bearing (9). Use protective
gloves and heater.
(2) Hold support (2) and pull housing (4) in oppo-
site direction of bearing (9) until housing (4) is
free of support (2).
(3) Remove bearing (10).
(4) Remove housing (4) and bearing (9).
