11.84.4. Cleaning
a. Clean removed and attaching parts (para 1.47).
11.84.5. Inspection
a. Check support and housing threaded inserts for stripped or damaged threads. None allowed.
b. Check support, housing, and yoke for gouges.
(1) Maximum gouge depth is 0.025 INCH and is acceptable if no material is raised above surrounding surface.
c. Check removed and attaching parts for damage (para 11.5).
d. Check removed and attaching parts for corrosion (para 1.49).
e. Check all installed bushing(s) and/or bearing(s) for wear (para 11.5).
f. Check all removed bushing(s) and/or bearing(s) for wear (para 11.4).
11.84.6. Repair
a. Replace threaded inserts as necessary (TM 1-1500-204-23).
