G.1.
HELICOPTER WEIGHING (AIRCRAFT ON JACKS) continued
NOTE
Some automated weight and balance systems will not permit the calculation of Corrected ARM as
described in step i. The following alternate procedure may be used: Skip steps i, j, k, and l. Transfer
data in block 12 (total as weighed weight), block 16 (ARM), and block 19 (moment) to blocks 22, 27,
and 30. Multiply 2.9 (constant value) and block 22 to obtain the non-level moment correction and
record (as negative value) in MOMENT column, block 20. Continue with step m.
i. Subtract 2.9 (constant value) from block 7 (ARM as weighed) and enter difference (Corrected ARM for
level attitude) in block 13.
j. Transfer data in block 12 to block 22 on reverse side of DD Form 365-2.
k. Transfer data in block 13 to block 27 on reverse side of DD Form 365-2.
l. Multiply block 22 (net weight) with block 27 (ARM) and record result (moment) in block 30.
NOTE
When main landing gear is locked in a fully collapsed position for weighing, a -1490 INCH-POUND
moment correction to level flight position must be used.
m. Record MLG correction moment (-1490 INCH-POUND) in MOMENT column, block 20.
n. Calculate total moment of items not part of basic weight.
(1) Multiply weight and ARM of strut locks, jack adapters, and other items not part of helicopter basic weight
and record each result (negative value moment) in MOMENT column, block 20.
(2) Add all weights of strut locks, jack adapters, and other items not part of helicopter basic weight and enter
sum (as negative value) in TOTAL row of WEIGHT column, block 20.
(3) Add all moments of strut locks, jack adapters, and other items not part of helicopter basic weight and
record sum (as negative value) in TOTAL row of MOMENT column, block 20.
o. Transfer total weight in block 20 to block 23 (record as negative value).
p. Transfer total moment in block 20 to block 31 (record as negative value).
q. Record basic weight items not in the helicopter at time of weighing in block 29 and calculate total
weight and moment of these items (if any).
(1) Record weight and ARM (as positive value) of each individual basic weight item not in the helicopter at time
of weighing in WEIGHT and ARM column, block 29.
(2) Multiply weight and ARM of each individual basic weight item not in the helicopter at time of weighing and
record each result (positive value moment) in MOMENT column, block 29.
(3) Add all weights of basic weight items not in the helicopter at time of weighing and record sum (as positive
value) in TOTAL row of WEIGHT column, block 29.
(4) Add all moments of basic weight items not in the helicopter at time of weighing and record sum (as positive
value) in TOTAL row of MOMENT column, block 29.
r. Transfer total weight from block 29 to block 24.
s. Transfer total moment from block 29 to block 32.
