FORWARD FUEL CELL INSTALLATION – continued
ag. Install fuel cell nitrogen inert breakaway valve
(71) on pad (66). Torque nut (71.1) to 120 INCH-
POUNDS.
(1) Lubricate new packing (72). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (72) in groove (73).
(3) Install two bolts (74) through washers (75)
and valve (71) into pad (66).
(4) Install hose nut (71.1) on valve (71). Torque
nut (71.1) to 120 INCH-POUNDS. Use torque
wrench.
ah. Inspect (QA).
ai. Install access cover (76).
(1) Lubricate eight new packings with retainers
(77). Use petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(2) Install eight screws (78) through packings
with retainer (77) and cover (76) into trans-
mission deck (53).
aj. Install fuel cell (2) on pad (14) in ammunition
bay. Torque two bolts (79) to 60 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Install two bolts (79) and washers (80).
Torque two bolts (79) to 60 INCH-POUNDS.
Use torque wrench.
